epic perfume battle

I'd been searching for a scent for my RPG character, so when ZOMG Smells came out with the limited edition Lady Stabbington-Hackworth, I thought I'd give it a try. While Mina is no lady, she is all about the stabbington-hackworth. The Green Knight was a freebie that Ariel and Holly were kind enough to throw in.



The Green Knight is a very green fellow indeed. This is all herbs and anise, with a very springlike feel.

Lady Stabbington-Hackworth, "Stabsy" to her friends, is gorgeous amber propped up by the sweetness of myrrh.



The winner: They both work well on me, so what it really comes down to is that indefinable thing that makes a perfume something I want to wear often, versus something that just gets slapped on when I'm in a particular mood. The Green Knight is a stalwart ally, but perhaps a little too green for me to want to wear often. Stabsy, on the other hand, is something I could wear every day, if I were the kind of person who would want to wear the same scent every day.

However, in spite of their many merits, neither Stabsy nor The Green Knight is really a Mina kind of scent, so the search continues on that front.
