The class I'd wanted to attend was cancelled, so I turned to Kripalu's Gentle practice. Of which I only did one half, because I was lazy. So, perhaps not the most auspicious end to my sadhana, although I did do well with what I did. And I do love this practice; there is a lot to be said for ending on a practice that I love.

So, what has come out of this sadhana? I would have liked to have spent fewer days doing my default minimum practice. I blame some of this on my wrist, but most of it on laziness and a lack of discipline. I'm going to try to be more focused next time. Fitting yoga in has been challenging, as has finding a variety of practices that I can do with tendinitis; this was much easier when I had a wider range of practices available to keep me interested. I would have liked to have done more live classes, but at least I'm showing up at live classes again, even if it's intermittently. All things happen in baby steps.

Although I feel like I have reconnected with my practice, I am definitely looking forward to a month of minimal yoga, which is pretty much what August is going to be for me.

All things in moderation. Especially moderation.

[personal profile] st_darwin has been joining me for yoga lately. As I was queueing up the DVD for tomorrow's practice (Raviana's Yoga Cleanse), the DVD menu came up, offering two practices after the warm-up: "Love Your Liver," and "Tear Out the Toxins."

He casually mentioned that he'd initially misread that as "Tear Out Your Liver." I almost died laughing.
