Higgs Boson. The lightness of cedar and tea grounded by the heaviness of patchouli and vetiver. What's not to love?
Smoking Duck. A playful daytime melange of patchouli, vetiver, tea, cedar and sweet tobacco.
Curiosity: Ariel's Version. This was supposed to be the scent of a communal Martian greenhouse, circa next century," and I think it succeeded. Lush green foliage and flowers both exotic and mundane. Surprisingly wearable, given my traditional leeriness about flowers.
Curiosity: Holly's Version. Well-worn leather and dry red dust, which is appropriate enough, considering that it purports to be "the scent of a Martian cowboy." Evocative and interesting, but not what I would consider terrifically wearable.
These both surprised me. I thought from the notes that I would prefer Smoking Duck to Higgs Boson; it was actually the opposite. I thought from the description that I would prefer Holly's version to Ariel's; it was actually the opposite.
I guess this is still a learning process for me.
